Manchester City vs Manchester United: Preview, Team News, Betting Odds & Prediction

Title-chasing Manchester City host local rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they look to close in on table-topping Liverpool.

United, meanwhile, look to lay down a marker after a surprise home defeat to Fulham last weekend.

How to Watch Manchester City vs Manchester United in the UK:

Viewers can watch the game live on Sky Sports Main Event, with coverage set to begin at 3 PM. Kick-off is set for 3:30 PM.

Recent Form:

City currently sit in 2nd place heading into the match, just one point behind league leaders Liverpool. Pep Guardiola’s side has won four of their last five Premier League fixtures, with the only blip being a 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea.

Erling Haaland also bagged five goals against Luton in the FA Cup midweek, four of which were assisted by Kevin De Bruyne.

United have been in decent form themselves, winning four of their last five Premier League encounters. However, their last league outing was a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Fulham, their first league loss since December 30th.

With Rasmus Hojlund out injured, the Red Devils struggle to create and convert chances. Erik ten Hag’s side did, however, secure a 1-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest, booking their place in the quarter-finals.

Team News:

For the home side, center-back Josko Gvardiol is set to miss out due to an ankle injury, with the Croatian expected back next week. Jack Grealish has also been ruled out with a groin injury.

For United, left-back Tyrell Malacia remains sidelined with a groin problem. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire are not expected back until mid-March.

Center-back Lisandro Martinez (knee) and left-back Luke Shaw (out for the season) are also unavailable.

Midfielder Mason Mount continues to be sidelined with a long-term leg injury, while forwards Anthony Martial and Rasmus Hojlund are both out but should return to training next week.

City enter the Manchester Derby as heavy favorites. 10BET has them at 2/7 (implied probability: 77.78%).

United are at 10/1 with Coral, meaning an implied probability of 9.09% for an upset.

A draw is priced at 28/5 with vBet, with an implied probability of 15.15%.
